BonenBazaar

My love for coffee began in the cafés of Stellenbosch, South Africa—where sharing a cup meant sharing time, stories, and community. But after moving to a quiet village in Noord Brabant, the Netherlands, I noticed something was missing. Coffee was still everywhere, but the human warmth behind it felt lost.

As I searched for ways to bring that sense of connection back, I dug deeper into the world of coffee—and what I found was hard to swallow. Behind many of the beans we drink every day is a supply chain built on exploitation, including child labor. That realization changed everything.

Bonen Bazaar was born out of a need to do better—not just to drink better coffee, but to build a better system around it. This isn’t just a webshop; it’s a platform where every product reflects a conscious choice. We source transparently and partner only with producers committed to ethical practices. And while no solution is perfect, we believe awareness is the first step to change.

We donate 10% of annual profits to organizations working to end child labor, like the ECLT Foundation and The Child Labor Coalition. But more than that, we aim to create space for informed choices—where coffee isn’t just about taste, but also about impact.

At Bonen Bazaar, you’re not just buying beans. You’re supporting a new kind of coffee culture—one rooted in ethics, transparency, and community.
